These birds, Carmen and Maria, are a spirited pair of Macaws that live at the Bloedel Conservatory in Vancouver, BC.
This painting has had a long journey, not unlike them. It started out as an abstract acrylic but was calling for more attention. After a long journey of my own, I decided to finish it in a more realist style with some of the abstracted elements coming through from the layers below.
Original, one of a kind, oil painting 20” x 16”. This painting doesn’t require framing as its on a Gallery Wrapped Canvas.
