Artist Residencies
Our Artist Residencies offer the perfect sanctuary to free yourself from the demands of daily life and unleash your artistic brilliance in a supportive and engaging community. Here, visual artists, musicians and writers have ample space, time and freedom to focus on their work and engage in the larger community of San Miguel de Allende, where they can enjoy gallery tours, openings, music venues and a myriad of other cultural, social, and artistic opportunities.
We offer one large live/work studio at 42 sq meters (450 sq ft) with ensuite bath and one small live/work space at 22 sq meters (230 sq ft) with shared bath. Both studios include an easel, work table, and materials storage. Residents have access to a rooftop terrace and fully-equipped shared kitchen.
Residencies range from a minimum of 3 weeks up to 3 months at prices shown below. All residents are responsible for their own transportation, food and materials.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Visiting artists will become part of our community working alongside local artists. You’ll have personalized introductions to prestigious galleries, artists, events and experiences around town. We will also provide you practical insights into essential art supplies, tools and where to find them.
ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS AND CLASSES such as life drawing, painting, ceramics and others may be offered at our studio and available at the time of your residency. Check our classes for dates and prices for these separate events. Longer term residents (2-3 months) will have the option to display their work at the end of their stay.
Mentorship is available upon request.
Nuestras residencias para artistas ofrecen el santuario perfecto para liberarse de las exigencias de la vida diaria y dar rienda suelta a su brillantez artística en una comunidad solidaria y atractiva. Aquí, los artistas visuales, músicos y escritores tienen amplio espacio, tiempo y libertad para concentrarse en su trabajo y participar en la comunidad más amplia de San Miguel de Allende, donde pueden disfrutar de recorridos por galerías, inauguraciones, salas de música y una gran variedad de otras oportunidades culturales, sociales y artísticas.
Ofrecemos un amplio estudio de 42 m² (450 pies²) y un pequeño espacio de 22 m² (230 pies²). Ambos estudios incluyen caballete, mesa de trabajo y espacio para guardar materiales. Los residentes tienen acceso a una terraza en la azotea y a una cocina compartida totalmente equipada.
Las residencias tienen una duración mínima de 3 semanas y máxima de 3 meses, con los precios que se muestran a continuación. Todos los residentes son responsables de su propio transporte, comida y materiales.

Consulta nuestras clases para conocer las fechas y precios de estos eventos. Los residentes de larga duración (2-3 meses) tendrán la opción de exponer su obra al final de su estancia.

Airports
There are two main airports with easy access to San Miguel de Allende. Querétaro (QRO) or León/Guanajuato (BJX). Transportation
Allende Arts Space is easily accessed by taxis, Uber, or local transit. The local bus route stops directly in front of the building going in and out of Centro. Or you can embrace the local practice of walking.
Weather
San Miguel de Allende enjoys a mild, sunny climate with warm days and cool nights year round. About 75% of its rainfall falls between June and September, while November through April is mostly dry. Fall and winter stay comfortable around 20°C during the day and nights can dip to 10°C so bring a sweater.

Aeropuertos

Transporte

Clima
San Miguel de Allende disfruta de un clima templado y soleado, con días cálidos y noches frescas todo el año. Aproximadamente el 75% de sus precipitaciones se concentran entre junio y septiembre, mientras que de noviembre a abril el clima es mayormente seco. En otoño e invierno la temperatura ronda los 20 °C durante el día y las noches pueden bajar hasta los 10 °C, así que no olvides traer un suéter.
